I’m Elizabeth Hartley, and I use decades of experience in psychotherapy, coaching and training.

The Thinking Behind My Work

My work brings together psychotherapy, coaching psychology with a particular interest in how our thinking, emotions and experiences influence the way we make decisions.

We often approach decisions through our rational mind, What should I do? What makes sense? What are the facts?

These questions matter, but they are not the whole story.

Our emotions, physical sensations, experiences and intuition can also provide important information. mBraining explores how these different system interact.

mBIT — Multiple Brain Integration Techniques — provides a practical framework for exploring three interconnected intelligences.

HEAD

What makes sense - Our cognitive and analytical thinking helps us gather information, evaluate possibilities and consider consequences.

HEART - What matters?

Our emotional and relational intelligence connects us with values, meaning, relationships and what is important to us.

GUT - What do I know intuitively?

It is about learning to listen to all of our intelligences to make wiser decisions.

I’m an accredited member of the British Psychological Society, a BPS approved supervisor, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; and a qualified mBIT Coach and trainer.

I find it really fulfilling to work as a psychotherapist, coach and trainer, to help clients realise their personal and professional goals.
